Friday was gray overhead, but nothing like Saturday Mornings Surprise

or should I say, that it rained hard all night long and was not a dry lake bed anymore.

mud stuck to your feet, every step you took at got heavier and heavier, so we spent 1/2 the day waiting for the bed to dry up a bit.

Later on Saturday it cleared up , well to the point of launches again.

Jim Groom's Rocket. He calls it "STING" Flown on a AT M1315W at liftoff and airstarting (3) Pro38 J400SS at 4 seconds to (3) Pro38 I350SS at 7 seconds. they started but after deployment. Wild Ride!

3-2-1- push the button, 6 seconds later the beast came to life, with a roar off the pad, very impressive.

L3 drag race, (Scott Ulrey's Black Pearl vs. Don Ball's GravityKills. Black Pearl left the pad long before GravityKills, What the heck type of igniter was that? less that a second.
