Anyone is invited to attend and see what High Power Rocketry is all about and have some fun, with Raffles too. However, due to Insurance Regulations and Policy, only Tripoli members and qualified NAR members will permitted to fly High Power. Anyone in attendance may fly Class C Model Rockets ONLY (A thru G motors). FAA waiver is in affect with a clearance up to 7,500 feet with Windows to 19,000 feet. All participants and visitors are asked to abide by any, and all, rules. A $15 per day, per person, is applicable to ALL flyers to help defray the cost of BLM fees. 

Research Launch
Sunday 3/22 - 8am - 2pm

It is a Tripoli Sanctioned event.

You may get to see proto-type rocket motors from the big manufacturers. You may also see Research Rockets and recovery systems Research groups from Nevada, Arizona, Utah  and California may be in attendance. Many of these motors are big, ranging from J to P class motors.

These are strictly Experimental rocket launch. Visitors, while not encouraged to attend, will not be turned away. It must be known in advance that the activities conducted at Experimental Launches are exactly that, Experimental! Very large, powerful and thus dangerous rockets are launched and non-members must be 100% aware of their surroundings at all times. 

Children are NOT encouraged to attend.

A Range Head will be set up as Operation Central and ALL launches must go through it. Several pads will be available however, it is advised that those planning to participate bring their own ground support equipment for specific applications. ALL rockets must be cleared through the rangehead before taken to the pad area.

Directions:

To get to Jean Dry Lake simply head South out of Las Vegas on 
I-15 and exit off the 12 mile mark and head east on 161 (under Bridge) about 1/4 mile and then turn north on route 6 for about 3 miles , look for the BIG brown area to the East and/or Launch site Signs. ( three roads lead to the Dry lake bed, The Easiest is Route will be Marked.
